This meeting was all about Recycling. The girls took home an ordinary household item last week and were instructed to "recycle" it into something completely different. It was fun to see what everyone came up with.
Mailani recycled her paper towel roll into a maraca.
Emily recycled her cereal box into a guitar.
Grace recycled her egg carton into a seed starter.
Logan recycled her coffee jar into a pumpkin decoration.
Lexi recycled her plastic bottle into a terrarium.
Randi recycled her egg carton into a necklace.
Priscilla recycled her plastic box into a dog biscuit holder.
Alexandra recycled her plastic bottle into a pen/pencil holder.
Riley recycled her plastic baggie into a Christmas ornament.
The girls then got to decorate a bag to use whenever they went out shopping, to the library or wherever they might otherwise use a plastic bag.
Mrs. Svatora handed out patches to each of the girls for their nut sales.
We had one "super seller" in the bunch! Emily sold over 36 units all by herself!
Way to go Emily!
All together the girls sold ___ units, earning $___ for the troop.
